Targets and follow-up
Concrete targets for energy, waste and working environment are set and reviewed annually by management.
Chip handling and recycling in practice
Metal chips from turning and milling are sorted by material type so that they can be sold for recycling rather than ending up as mixed waste. Sorting at source, directly at the machine, produces a cleaner chip fraction and a better sale price, while also reducing the amount of material lost in the process.
Cooling lubricants are handled in closed systems with filtration and recycling wherever possible, to reduce consumption and minimise the amount that must be disposed of as hazardous waste. Maintenance of the filtration system forms part of the fixed maintenance schedule for the machines.
We continually work to reduce waste in the machining process itself through optimised cutting data and fixturing that make better use of the raw blank. Less waste means less material that needs to be recycled or disposed of, before it even becomes a chip.
Improving the energy efficiency of production
Automation and unmanned operation increase the utilisation of the energy used to keep the machines warm and ready for production, because more components are produced per hour the machine is switched on. This is an indirect but important part of our energy efforts.
We continually assess whether newer, more energy-efficient machine types can replace older equipment in a way that makes sense from an operating economy perspective, and we prioritise replacements where the saving is greatest relative to the investment.
Lighting, ventilation and general building operation at the site in Nørre Alslev also form part of our considerations regarding energy consumption, even though the majority of consumption is linked to the production equipment itself.
Working environment and safety in concrete terms
Safety in production concerns concrete matters: guarding around robot cells, correct handling of cooling lubricants, ergonomics at the assembly stations, and clear procedures for how to stop a machine safely in the event of a fault. We work systematically to identify and remedy risks before they lead to an incident.
New employees go through a thorough safety induction, and there are fixed routines for reporting near-misses, so that patterns can be identified and addressed before they develop into an injury.
We expect safety to be prioritised just as highly as productivity in day-to-day work, and management follows up on the working environment as a fixed part of the ongoing reviews of the company's operations.
Training and skills development
We invest in employees being able to develop professionally throughout their employment, whether that is an operator who wants to learn programming or an experienced specialist who wants to develop further within measurement technology or assembly. Skills development is regarded as an investment in the company's future ability to deliver.
Internal training is supplemented, where it makes sense, with external courses, particularly in new machine types, software and quality standards, where it is important to stay up to date with developments in the industry.
We view knowledge sharing between experienced and new employees as a social responsibility just as much as an operational necessity, because it gives every employee the opportunity to develop, regardless of when in their career they joined the company.

Responsible purchasing and supplier code of conduct
We require our suppliers to maintain proper working conditions, responsible environmental practice and business ethics through our supplier code of conduct. These requirements are followed up through ongoing dialogue with suppliers and form part of the assessment of whether a collaboration should continue.
The prioritisation of Danish partners for surface treatment and other special processes is linked to both quality management and a wish to support local supply chains where practically possible.
We expect openness from our suppliers about their own processes, just as we are open with our own customers. A collaboration built on mutual insight makes it easier to identify and resolve problems before they become serious.
Engagement in the local community
As one of the larger workplaces in the Nørre Alslev area, we have a responsibility that extends beyond the walls of the production hall. We place great value on being a reliable and proper neighbour, both towards authorities and towards the businesses and residents closest to us.
We are happy to engage in dialogue with local educational institutions about apprenticeships and visits, because a healthy supply of skilled labour in the local area benefits both us and other companies in the region in the long run.
Stable, local jobs are part of the value we contribute, in addition to the components we supply to our customers. This is part of how we see ourselves, as a Danish manufacturing company with roots in the local area.
Reporting and future documentation
We are working towards being able to document our CSR efforts with specific figures as our measurement methods and data foundation mature. We prefer to wait to publish figures until they can be relied upon, rather than issuing preliminary or uncertain data.
As reporting requirements around sustainability evolve within our industry and among our customers, we expect to adapt our documentation to meet what customers in regulated sectors demand.
This page is updated as specific initiatives and results can be documented, so that the content always reflects what we actually do, rather than statements of intent without follow-up.
